My Philosophy: 

When I paint, I immerse myself in my paintings. Sometimes it is an opportunity for me to understand an animal’s world. Other times, it is an opportunity to connect with the past and understand a simpler way of life. In every case, the canvas is a space for me to explore emotions and capture them in a way that those who view my works are transported emotionally into the painting. 

Each of my paintings looks to use light and motion to bring the subject to life. With each brush stroke, I carefully consider the orientation of the subject and how they are interacting with their world - from the expressions on their face to the way their hair falls, each subtle detail adds a  sense of realism that allows the viewer to feel as if they belong in the painting.
